Evergreen Ethos

A business’ purpose is to serve and support the community it’s rooted in from all fronts. The Evergreen Ethos is how we intend to accomplish that goal and our mission of crafting a thriving community through coffee. It’s based on three touch points in which we believe we are not only responsible for but can make a difference in.

PEOPLE

Our team comes from the community we serve and we are dedicated to nurturing growth for every team member, whether part-time or full-time. Our vibrant, inclusive environment fuels their success with:

  • Ethical compensation

  • Paid lunch & breaks

  • Paid meals during working hours

  • Paid time off

  • Paid sick leave

  • Paid voting time

  • Professional development

  • Employee Discounts

Plus, our Apprenticeship Program empowers team members to engage in the creative process, earn commission on their contributions, receive mentorship & gain insights into business and entrepreneurship.

COMMUNITY

We believe the grass is greener where you water it & prioritize partnerships at the local level to contribute to the health of the Las Vegas economy. 75% of our vendors are from local, small businesses such as BMV Farms, Bread Day, Cured & Whey, Dark Moon, Vesta and more.

We ignite community spirit through dynamic pop-ups and partnerships with like-minded nonprofits. In 2023, we hosted 20 pop-ups showcasing predominantly women- and minority-owned businesses and collaborated with 8 pioneering organizations, such as The Lullaby Connections and Nevada SPCA, driving real change.

PLANET

Being in the coffee industry, we recognize our role and impact on the planet and understand that it is our responsibility to take care of our ecosystem. We take a pragmatic and sensible approach to creating long-term sustainability practices that involve:

  • Making food in small, limited batches to reduce our food waste and crafting our own syrups to keep thousands of plastic bottles out of landfills.

  • Composting around 30 gallons of food scraps with Garden Farms weekly to create fertile soil for school gardens.

  • Planting trees monthly with One Tree Planted to offset some of our carbon emissions.

  • Running on compostable supplies & energy-efficient equipment while encouraging others to bring their own containers.

This is by no means enough but it is a start and we aim to continuously improve our practices to help make the world a greener place for everyone.
